Meet Dr. Adriana Amzar
I receive such satisfaction from helping my patients and seeing them happy after every appointment. I am just as excited for a simple restoration as I am after I see a perfect crown cemented in a patient’s mouth or finish an Invisalign® treatment. I try to do my best in all things and am grateful for the trust my patients place in my skills.
One of the most interesting things about dentistry is the variety of patients who visit our office. Every person is different and presents a unique challenge—one I am more than happy to solve. My goal is to have each patient feel completely comfortable throughout and at the end of their procedure, and to provide the education necessary for them to take control of their oral health. It is so rewarding to know that my patients are healthier and happier after a visit to our office.

I believe in endless self-improvement. Keeping myself up-to-date helps me provide the best care to my patients in the most efficient manner. Nowadays, it’s amazing what new technology can bring in dentistry, starting from digital radiography system which lowers the X-ray radiation and produces the image almost instantly; being able to take an intraoral picture in few seconds and educate the patient by showing what’s going on in their mouth; having 3D impressions of a mouth and being able to design a crown on the computer and have it cemented in one appointment. All these things save time and allow us to achieve the quality we really want and our patients deserve.

Outside the Office
I grew up in a small industrial city Pitesti in the southern part of Romania. I met my husband in dental school back home in Romania and in 2006 we came to Canada. At that time our daughter Lea was nine months old. In 2013, Buddy our dog and Matty our son came along. I also have a salt water fish tank where I relax at the end of the day just watching them swim. It’s an endless, beautiful show for me.
In my free time, you can find me with my family and friends in the park, or at the Ottawa Athletic Club doing yoga and squash. I am also passionate about Feng Shui and reading.
